Tennis player Vishal Uppal and ace shooter Murad Ali Khan are among five sportspersons selected by the Delhi government for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Puraskar 2003.
Dinesh Bhardwaj (kabaddi), Shiv Kapoor (golf) and Anil Mann (wrestling) are the other three named for the award, which carries a cash prize of Rs 200,000, a citation and a trophy.
The awards, announced by Delhi education minister Raj Kumar Chauhan, will be given away on August 19, the eve of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's birth anniversary, at a function at the Chhatrasal stadium in Delhi.
