Western Railway women showed their superiority when they crushed Andhra Pradesh 74-58, after leading narrowly 34-33 at half-time, to win the Federation Cup basketball title at the Agnel Technical Education Complex, Vashi, in Navi Mumbai, on Saturday.
Internationals Nimi Menon (20), I V Cherian (19) and Arnika Gujjar (15 with two three pointers) did the bulk of the scoring for the winners while Sophi Sam (25) and Jebi Jose (10) played well for the losers.
Results (women's final): Western Railway 74 (Nimi Menon 20, I V Cherian 19, Arnika Gujjar 15) beat Andhra Pradesh 58 (Sophi Sam 25, Jebi Jose 10). HT: 34-33.
