Zee Churchill rally to hold Tollygunge

An injury time goal by substitute Somatai Shaiza helped title aspirants Zee Churchill hold Tollygunge to a 2-2 draw in a Tata National Football League match at Nehru Stadium in Margao on Saturday.

Zee Churchill, who started off well, drew first blood in the 8th minute when Kumar split the rival defence with a floater to Yusif Yakubu, who beat keeper Sandip Nandy and placed the ball into the net.

Tollygunge regrouped and enjoyed a lion's share of the exchanges and scoring chances. But they were denied an equaliser.

However, they made amends for the earlier lapses and found the equaliser in the 30th minute through Ashim Biswas's angular shot.
