Hardip Saini's goals
enable JCT down ITI

A fine brace by Hardip Singh Saini enabled JCT Mills, Phagwara, beat Indian Telephone Industries, Bangalore, 2-1 in a Tata National Football League match in Ludhiana, on Saturday.

Saini put JCT ahead in the 13th minute following a free-kick by Hardip Gill. Gill's effort ricocheted off an ITI defender and Saini made no mistake with the chance.

JCT maintained the lead till the 73rd minute, when Nigerian Mohammad Salisu restored parity for ITI with a brilliant goal.

As the teams were set to split points, Saini struck three minute into injury time to give JCT their third victory in 18 matches.

ITI, playing without five of their regular players -- John Urwo, Mikeoro, Hussain, Jitesh (all injured) and George Ekeh (red card), have 27 points while JCT have 14 after the 18th round.
