HAL score over JCT

Debutants Hindustan Aeronautics virtually compounded the worries of cellar team JCT, beating them 2-1 in their 16th round match in the Tata National Football League in Bangalore on Saturday.

Though JCT strived hard to lift themselves from the tenth position there are currently placed at in the league, HAL refused to oblige.

Forwards Mulisa Jimmy and Raja Baliev Narlan scored for HAL in the 31st and 38th minutes, while Harvinder (Jr) came up with the consolation goal for JCT in the 61st minute.

With this victory, HAL took their points tally to 25 from 16 outings while JCT remained at 11 points.

It was JCT, coached by Sukhvinder Singh, who called the tune initially. Harvinder (Jr) had a close look at the HAL goal in the fourth minute, but shot over the bar follwoing a pass from J Randhawa.

They wasted another good scoring chance in the 41st minute, when Harvinder Junior narrowly missed the target.
