HAL prevail over Punjab Police

Kyrgistan's Raja Baliev Nurlan scored the all-important goal as debutants Hindustan Aeronautics defeated Punjab Police 1-0 in a Tata National Football League encounter in Bangalore on Monday.

Nurlan found the target in the fourth minute after the break, off a pass from skipper Sunil.

Thereafter, the Bangalore side held on to the lead to register their sixth victory from 12 matches.

The cops from Punjab, who are tottering at the bottom of the 12-team league with just four points, failed to impress.

With this victory, HAL set the record straight, as they had been beaten by Punjab Police in their away match.
