Afro-Asian Games postponed

The Afro-Asian Games, scheduled to be held in Delhi from November 3 to 11, have been postponed indefinitely.

Highly-placed sources said the decision was taken after a review of the situation arising out of the terrorist attacks on the United States on Tuesday.

The government is expected to make a formal announcement after Sports Minister Uma Bharti returns to the capital on Thursday night.
