Paes-Bhupathi eyeing French OpenTop Indian doubles combination of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi have set their eyes on the French Open starting next week to come back to the form that made them the world's number one team two years ago. "French Open has been one of our favourite hunting grounds. We have performed very well there and we are looking forward to the tournament," Paes told reporters here today. Paes and Bhupathi were in the city for inaugurating a shoe outlet. The duo won the French Open title, along with Wimbledon, in 1999 when they reached the final of all the four Grand Slams. They ended the year ranked number one in the world. With their infamous spat last year having been consigned into the dustbin of history, Paes said the duo was keen to get back to the top of the tennis world and they were keeping their interests in singles in abeyance in order to concentrate in the doubles event. "The responsibilites of playing doubles and Davis Cup matches means we will find it quite tough to give time to singles," he said. The duo is leaving for Paris tonight.
