Bomb damages train in Kokrajhar district

A railway bridge and one of the wagons of a goods train were damaged when a bomb was set off, allegedly by Bodoland Tiger Force extremists near Shalekhatai and Basugaon stations in Assam's Kokrajhar district on Tuesday night. No casualty was reported.

Official reports received in Guwahati said the bomb was planted under the Khaldonga bridge on the broad gauge line of the North Frontier railway. Train services on the line were suspended.
