United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will visit India next week to attend a four-day summit on sustainable development, after visiting Pakistan, where he is expected to discuss terrorism among other issues.
His programme in New Delhi is not yet known but his visit is mainly to attend the Sustainable Development Summit beginning on February 4.
Prior to going to Delhi, he will pay an official visit to Pakistan, where he is expected to discuss the situation in the region as also the issue of terrorism.
Ban will travel to Islamabad after an official visit to Abu Dhabi following his participation in the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa.
Sources have said he is expected to visit Kabul also but the UN spokesperson declined to confirm that.
The spokesperson said he would meet senior officials in the countries he visits.
