Khan was reported to have made the remarks at the trial of Faiz Baluch and Hyrbair Marri, accused of inciting terrorist attacks in Pakistan, a charge they deny. Baluch, from Wembley, and Marri, from Ealing in West London, are also accused of collecting information for the Baluchistan Liberation Army, which is banned in the United Kingdom, and of using their web site to incite murder.
When Khan was asked during the trial at the Woolwich Crown Court by Baluch's defence counsel if the people of Baluchistan had other options to assert their will, Khan is reported to have told the court: 'Absolutely not. In Baluchistan there was military action going on, so there was no way of redressing the people's grievances.'
