Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has met top US officials to discuss the Barack Obama Administration's review of the Afghan policy.

Qureshi met Special Representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke at the State Department during which the two leaders discussed the recent peace deal between Islamabad and the Taliban.

Holbrooke in his recent interviews had termed the deal like ceding territories to bad guys.

While there has been no official comment from either President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Holbrooke said both of them are concerned about the peace deal in the Swat valley.

Qureshi also met Under Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Richard Boucher.

Qureshi is today scheduled to meet Clinton. Meanwhile, the Afghanistan delegation led by its Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta arrived in here last evening.

The delegation will hold a series of talks with the Obama Administration in the next couple of days.

Spanta would meet Clinton tomorrow, while the State Department would host a trilateral meeting between Afghanistan, Pakistan and the US on Thursday. Clinton has hosted a dinner for the visiting delegations on Wednesday night, State Department spokesman Robert Wood told reporters.
