Pramod Muthalik, founder of the Shri Ram Sena, walked out a free man on Monday after a court in Madikeri, Kodagu, Karnatal granted him bail.
Muthalik, who was earlier granted bail by a Mangalore court, was immediately arrested by the Madikeri in connection with an inflamatory speech made by him three years back.
Muthalik had been picked up first by the Belgaum police and later by the Mangalore police in connection with the pub attack.
After being arrested by the Madikeri cops, he had moved the court seeking bail. He had also got himself hospitalised citing health reasons.
When the matter came up for hearing, the court granted him bail while directing him to furnish a surety of Rs 1 lakh. He was also ordered to be present before the same court on February 12.
Immediately after his release, muthalik headed to Hubli to attend a public programme.
