Karnataka Police has stumbled upon vital clues regarding the Indian Mujahideen.
Investigations conducted on Abdul Sami, a close aide of Subhan, have revealed that the latter was in charge of finances of the Indian Mujahideen.

A Karnataka Police officer told rediff.com that Sami handled the finances of the Indian Mujahideen once the heat was stepped up on Subhan. The IM was sure that police would crack down on Subhan following the spate of blasts and hence it was pre-planned that Sami would handle the finances.

Karnataka Police are also probing the role played by Sami in the Bangalore serial blasts. They say they had information that Sami was present in Bangalore at the time of the blasts. They are now questioning him regarding the role played by Subhan.

The police are, however, not having an easy time questioning Sami, the 23-year-old student from Bijapur in Northern Karnataka. The police say that he is not too forthcoming with information and is in fact a tough nut to crack.
Cops believe Sami has all information regarding the roots of the Indian Mujahideen and the attacks at Jaipur, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and New Delhi.
Sami was picked up by the police based on a tip off by the IB that he had been seen along with Subhan before the Bangalore blasts and provided the latter with shelter. Sami had been under IB radar and was picked up a week ago by the Karnataka police.
