Reacting to National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah's appeal to separatists to come forward for talks to solve the Kashmir issue, the moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference on Monday termed the suggestion as one born out of "frustration".
"The demand is out of frustration born out of the massive protests the state witnessed in the past two months," a statement by the faction led by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq said.
Abdullah had appealed on Thursday to the separatists to stop agitations and enter into a dialogue for resolving the Kashmir issue. The former chief minister had also remarked that assembly elections could be held anytime as the Election Commission desired.
