The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has denied any involvement of its workers in the lynching of a UP labourer on a suburban train on Tuesday.
"Holding us responsible for any untoward incident that happens is nonsensical," MNS general secretary Shirish Parkar
said.
He said ten MNS workers from the Khopoli area have been detained by the police in this connection. "We are trying to
get in touch with our activists in the area and get them released," Parkar said.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena Spokesman Sanjay Raut has said that political parties should be cautious and exercise restrain
while talking about regional sentiments.
Raut also condemned the killing of the UP labourer and described it as "unfortunate".
