A top Lashkar-e-Tayiba commander was on Friday killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said in Srinagar.
Lashkar commander Moeen was killed following a gunbattle with police assisted by paramilitary forces in Khillar village of Pulwama district, the sources said.
They said the operation was going on and the security forces suspect two to three more terrorists might be hiding in the area.

This comes a day after Jaish-e-Mohammad commander, Pasha, was shot dead in an encounter in Sopore area of Baramulla district.
JeM chief commander Ahmad, alias 'Pasha', and his close associate, Saifullah, alias 'Faisal', both residents of Pakistan, were killed in a gunfight at Warpora village of Sopore, 55 km from Srinagar.
