A Delhi-based couple have made it to the Guinness Book of World Records for writing the maximum number of 'Letters to Editors' in various Indian newspapers.

Subhash Chandra Agrawal, a businessman entered the record book for writing maximum letters in a life span, while his wife Madhu Agrawal for writing maximum letters in a year.

Agrawal has written 3,699 letters till January 31, 2006, and his wife penned 447 letters in 2004.

Agrawal wrote his first letter to editors in 1967 in Dainik Hindustan narrating an unpleasant experience with a bus conductor for not issuing a ticket.

Interestingly, the letter led to instant impact and authorities swung into action.

Sharing his passion for writing letters, Agrawal said, "After writing a letter to editor of newspaper, I realised the power of media."

Seeing the impact of his letter, Agrawal continued his passion to write despite his physical handicap, hardening of finger, which makes writing difficult for him.
