The Rajasthan Police released a three-dimensional sketch of a 24 to 26-year-old clean-shaven fair complexioned man who is a key suspect behind the May 13 serial blasts that killed 65 people in Jaipur.
The sketch created by a Kolkata-based professional artiste was that of a 5'5 tall man, Superintendent of Police Raghvendra Suhasee said.
"The 3-D is a new sketch of an important suspect who might be involved in the blast", Suhasee said, adding it would not be proper to divulge any information on the making of sketch. "This is the first 3-D sketch and eighth in the row as the seven hand-made sketches released last week were based on the questioning of owners of cycle shops from where bicycles were bought for use in triggering the blasts in the walled part of the city on May 13.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister R S Rathore said the investigation was heading in the right direction though so far no one has been arrested.
Replying to a question whether the state government intended to hand over the case to the CBI, Rathore said the CBI had not solved any such case of Hyderbad and Uttar Pradesh. A special investigation team comprising of the Intelligence Bureau and the Rajasthan police would be formed.
Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh so far interrogated at least 500, including some jail inmates, but not arrested any one, Rathore said. A key SIMI activist Sajjid and his three associates were detained in Sawaimadhopur district for interrogation by the special operation group of the Rajasthan police.
