A man believed to have arranged combat dresses for the militants, who recently infiltrated into Samba district, and provided them with guides was arrested in Jammu on Monday, official sources said.
Kala Gujjar was arrested from Regal area of Samba district on Saturday and several combat dresses were recovered from his shed, they said.
Kala, who along with other Gujjar families arrived in the bordering district just 15 days before the incident, is believed to have arranged combat dresses for the militants and provided them with guides, they said.
He has been sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre for questioning, they added. Eight persons, including two militants, were killed in the fierce gun battle between security forces and militants at Kaily Mandi area of Samba.
In another incident, security forces today busted two hideouts in Doda and Rajouri districts and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition.
On a tip off, army troops launched a search operation in Amri nallah area of Doda district and recovered AK rifle, one wireless set, one antenna, one pistol, two AK magazines, 2 SLR magazines, one hand grenade, 7 improvised explosive devices and 7 gelatin sticks, officials said.
In Rajouri district, another hideout was busted and AK 56 rifle, two magazines, three detonators, six IEDs and one chinese hand grenade was recovered, they said.
