Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil will visit serial blasts-hit Jaipur on Thursday to take stock of the situation.
This was stated by Patil, who is on a two-day visit to the North-East. Patil, who will accompany Gandhi, said he was in constant touch with home ministry officials in Delhi to get the latest updates on the situation in Jaipur.
He was also in touch with Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and had assured her of all help from the Centre.
Patil appreciated the people of Rajasthan for showing restraint despite the provocation by the perpetrators of violence.
The minister adressed media-persons near Dimapur after attending the passing-out parade of Assam Rifles.
