The Delhi police on Wednesday sent a team of its officers to Jaipur to ascertain whether the deadly blasts in the Pink City had any link with the serial explosions in New Delhi in 2005.
Six officers of the Special Cell, the elite anti-terror wing of the city police, were rushed to the Rajasthan capital, a senior police official said.
The team will visit the blast sites and interact with officers of Rajasthan police to find out whether the incident has any link to the Diwali-eve blasts in two crowded markets in the national capital three years ago, he said.
"We are constantly in touch with the Rajasthan police," he said.
Asked whether the Special Cell will be helping their Rajasthan counterparts in the probe, the official said they have not been approached but did not mind providing any inputs.
Last year, the Delhi police had sent its team to Ajmer, where a blast took place outside the dargah of Moinuddin Chisti. The serial blasts in Jaipur on Tuesday killed at least 63 people and injured many more.
