Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Union Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz called on Governor N N Vohra and discussed the situation arising out of the withdrawal of support by People's Democratic Party to the state government.
Azad and Soz, also the state Congress president, were with the the governor for over two hours at Raj Bhavan, an official spokesman said on Sunday evening after the meeting.
The PDP on Saturday withdrew support to the Congress-led government in the state, reducing it to a minority.
The spokesman termed the meeting between the two senior Congress leaders with Vohra as "part of the Constitutional consultative process"
