The army on Monday foiled an infiltration bid in Keran sector near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, killing two militants, a defence spokesman said in Srinagar.
"Troops guarding the border in Keran sector confronted two militants who had crossed over to this side on Sunday night and asked them to surrender," the spokesman said, adding the intruders opened fire and in the retaliatory action the duo was killed.
Three infiltrators were last week gunned down in the same sector.
