Two people including a tourist and a seven-year old boy were killed, and five other persons wounded, in a grenade explosion in the north Kashmir's [ Images ] Gulmarg mountain resort on Sunday afternoon.

Police said militants lobbed a grenade at the bus stand in the Gulmarg health resort which exploded causing injuries to six persons.

"One of the injured persons identified as Ashok Kumar belonging to Uttar Pradesh [ Images ] succumbed to his injuries," a senior police officer said. 7-year old Mohammad Yusuf also succumbed to his injuries.

The other injured including one more tourist were taken to Tangmarg district hospital for treatment.
