Keeping up the suspense on his party's stand on the confidence vote that the United Progressive Alliance government will seek in the Lok Sabha on July 22, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha supremo Shibu Soren on Tuesday said that he had to listen to his supporters before taking any decision.

"I consider my partymen greater than me. And they want to assess where we stand after four years of support (to the UPA)," Soren, whose party has five MPs in Lok Sabha, said when asked why JMM was delaying a decision even after being an ally of the UPA for the last four years.

"The JMM parliamentary party will meet on July 19 in Ranchi or Delhi and it will take just five minutes to decide our stand," said Soren.

Asked whether JMM considered the nuclear deal to be in the interest of the nation, Soren said the pact should be in the interest of the country but at the same time some people (the Left parties) thought it otherwise.

"People are increasingly facing the burden of rising prices. We should also look to contain it," he said.
