The Sikkim Democratic Front on Wednesday endorsed the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal and said it would vote with the United Progressive Alliance whenever Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeks a confidence vote in Parliament.
"We fully stand by the prime minister and the nuclear deal and would accordingly support the confidence vote to be moved by the prime minister in the Lok Sabha whenever he decides to seek it," Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling said in Gangtok.
The lone SDF representative in the Lok Sabha would back the trust vote to be moved by the UPA government whenever it decides to do so, he said.
Endorsing the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal, Chamling said, "The agreement will enable our country to generate nuclear energy in the years to come."
