Two senior officials of the Central Reserve Police Force are to be placed under suspension in connection with the terror attack on the Rampur recruitment centre of the force in Uttar Pradesh, which left eight persons dead.
The Home Ministry is understood to have given its nod to the file seeking disciplinary action against the two officials of the paramilitary force, sources said.
There was no official word either from the Ministry or from the CRPF on this.
On the New Year's day, seven CRPF personnel and a civilian were killed when heavily armed militants stormed the centre.
Uttar Pradesh government has charged some CRPF men with helping the militants to storm the camp while the paramilitary force alleged a vehicle that ferried the ultras to the spot carried the flag of a major political party.
The UP police had questioned two CRPF personnel, including one from Jammu and Kashmir, in this connection.
