Security forces on Friday gunned down three Lashkar-e-Tayiba terrorists, including a district commander of the outfit, during an encounter in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said in Jammu.
On specific information, troops of the Rashtriya Rifles launched an operation in Gunda area, 7 km north of Doda, and in the ensuing gun battle killed three LeT terrorists, the spokesman said.
One of the dead has been identified as Mudassar -- a district commander of LeT -- the defence spokesman said, adding that the identity of the remaining two terrorists was being ascertained.
Security forces recovered three AK-47 rifles along with some ammunition from the encounter site.
