Union Science and Technology Minister Kapil Sibal dismissed Bharatiya Janata Party General Secretary Arun Jaitley's view that the new anti-terror law is likely to be misused against the minorities. "This is not true," Sibal said.
Sibal said after the terrorist attacks in Mumbai he had hoped that the whole nation would stand together and send a strong message to the world that India was united in its fight against terrorism.
"The battle against terrorism is not fought in the mind of a society. They were in power for six years but why they were not able to set up National Investigative Agency and pass the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. I would say that while the BJP was soft on terror and we are strong on terror," Sibal said.
