President Pratibha Patil released a Special Commemorative Stamp in honour of Late Field Marshal Sam Bahadur Manekshaw at the Rashtrapati Bhavan [ Images ] on Tuesday.

The stamp was released on the occasion of Vijay Diwas, to mark the 37th anniversary of India [ Images ]'s military victory over Pakistan in the Bangladesh liberation war.

Manekshaw crafted India's greatest military victory in the 1971 India-Pakistan war that created just not history, but also a new nation

The President also saw glimpses of the illustrious career of the Late General at a photo exhibition held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
