The Mumbai [ Images ] Polioce have dispelled rumours of Section 144 (which prevents the assembly fo five or more people) being imposed around the Gateway of India [ Images ], in Mumbai ahead of a citizens rally which is to held there on Wednesday evening.

Speaking to rediff.com, Sub-inspector Raikar of the Mumbai police control room said, " There are no such orders."
