The Special TADA Court on Friday remanded Karimullah Osan Habib Khan, a key accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, to Central Bureau of Investigation's custody till August 29.

Khan, who has been on the run for the last 15 years, was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on Thursday. An accomplice of gangster Dawood Ibrahim, he was arrested from the extended suburbs of Nallasopara.

Khan was allegedly involved in the landing of RDX on the Raigad coast and its transport to Mumbai prior to the blasts which killed 273 people and injured over 700.
Khan has been absconding since the blasts. He returned to India in 2006.
According to the police, he lived and worked in Dawood's house in Karachi for some time.
