Fourteen bogies of the Rajgir-Delhi Shramjeevi Express derailed at Sohsarai, between Bakhtiyarpur and Dina stations of Danapur division under the East Central Railway in Nalanda district, Bihar, on Wednesday.

Railway sources said there were no reports of any casualties or injuries.

According to an eye-witness, a 'loud noise' was heard before the bogies derailed with a lot of smoke billowing from the engine.

The impact of the accident was so intense that the railway tracks were uprooted . However, the bogies got stuck in the cement slabs kept nearby and did not overturn.

The cause of the derailment has yet to be ascertained.

The Rahui-Biharsharif road was blocked following the accident.
