The Indian Institutes of Management might defer the release of their final list of admission for this academic year following the Supreme Court order on 27 per cent quota for Other Backward Classes.
Coverage: The Reservation Issue
"We were to release the final list of candidates on Friday. But after the Supreme Court's order on OBC reservations, all IIMs will have consultation and might defer the release of list by a week," IIM-A director Sameer Barua told PTI.
"We have not received the copy of the order yet and are not clear what SC has said about the implementation of the OBC quota in IIMs," Barua added.
"All six IIMs were to release the list of admission on the same date," Barua said.
Regarding the implementation of court's order Barua said, "We would follow whatever the law of the land says".
