In startling revalations, the arrested Students Islamic Movement of India activists have revealed that the banned organisation had five training training camps in the jungle of Khargone district in Madhya Pradesh in 2007 to execute its operations across the country.

The police team, accompanied by the banned outfit's leaders Qamaruddin Nagori, Safdar Nagori and Aamil Pervez, visited the jungle and recovered 122 guilletines and explosives, 100 detonators, wire bundles, starters and VCD from the area where the training camp was organised in 2007, highly placed sources told PTI in Indore.

According to sources, they also tested explosives at a farmhouse, owned by one Shahjad Hussain in the Gawalu village of Balwada police station in the jungle.

The site was nearly a kilometre away from the village in Balwada police station in the district, the police said adding, the camp was organised on the bank of river Choral in October 2007.

The camp was attended by SIMI leaders Safdar Hussain, Hafiz Hussain, P A Shivli and Aamil Pervez, they said.

At least 20 activists were given necessary trianings for unidentified operations.

Police sources said from the day of the arrest of 13 top SIMI activists on March 27, they had doubts about the possibility of camps being organised by the outfit in Choral.

According to information received from the arrested activists during interrogation the outfit had organised camps at Hubli in Karnataka and Wagman in Kerala.

However, intelligence agencies were trying to ascertain as to how many such training camps had been organised by the organisation.
