The Patna police has detained Anil Kumar, nephew of Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, for manhandling former Indian Medical Association president Dr Ajay Kumar on Monday night.
The police said that Anil Kumar was taken into custody for allegedly trying to abduct noted urologist and former IMA president Dr Ajay Kumar near the Patna zoo, close to the Sachivalaya police station, late on Monday night. The police also seized an Ambassador car from the spot.
Anil has been detained for interrogation, as the car seized from the spot was registered in his name, sources said. They added that efforts were on to locate the driver and also ascertain the identities of those traveling in the car.
