The army on Thursday ruled out any surrender policy for foreign militants operating in Jammu and Kashmir, saying they are meant to be eliminated.
"There is no surrender policy for foreign militants active in Jammu and Kashmir," XV Corps General Officer-in-Commanding Lt Gen A S Sekhon told journalists on the fringes of a function at Awantipora in south Kashmir.
"They (foreign militants) have no business to be here in Jammu and Kashmir and are meant to be eliminated," he added.
Gen Sekhon, who is to assume the charge of director general military operations in New Delhi later this month, said the operations against militants in Jammu and Kashmir will continue.
