After flaying ally Communist Party of India-Marxist's policy on the Nandigram issue, West Bengal's ruling Left Front constituent Revolutionary Socialist Party on Thursday said that it was not immediately pulling out of the coalition ministry.
''Our party is not pulling out of the ministry immediately,'' said Debabrata Bandopadhyay, RSP state secretary, after a three-day state committee meeting which discussed the Nandigram issue.
He said senior party leader and PWD minister Kshiti Goswami, who had expressed his desire to quit the Buddhadeb Bhattacharya government after the Nandigram violence, has sought two weeks time from the party to study the situation. The party has granted him that time, said Bandopadhyay.
He added that the RSP state committee, which meets again on November 29, will decide the party's relation with the Left Front and the question of quitting the Front.
The RSP state secretary also said that the three partners of the alliancethe Communist Party of India, the Forward Bloc and the RSP--formed a 'mini front' and it was decided that any matter concerning them would be discussed among them before taking a decision.
''The CPI and Forward Bloc wanted RSP not to quit the ministry and we will have discussions with them also before taking a decision,'' he said.
