Bharatiya Janata Party leader Jaswant Singh's wife has filed a complaint against a party legislator and other leaders for depicting top party leaders as gods and goddesses in a poster. She said it hurt her religious sentiments.

The poster, which was released on April 15 to mark three years of BJP rule in Rajasthan, depicts senior leaders, A B Vajpayee, L K Advani and Rajnath Singh as the trinity -- Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara -- and Chief Minister Vasundhare Raje as Goddess Annapoorna.

Sheetal Kumar, Jaswant's wife, said the poster prepared by a BJP worker and a local priest not only hurt her religious sentiments but also that of Hindu community at large.

The poster was released by BJP MLA Suryakanta Vyas and other BJP leaders and all of them were made accused in the complaint apart from the owner of the press where it was printed.

"We have received a complaint but we have not registered any case so far. Additional SP S S Godara is looking into the matter and a decision on whether to register a case will be taken on the basis of his report," Superintendent of Police H S Ghumaria said.

Two senior cabinet ministers L N Deve were shown as Kuber while Pratap Singh Singhvi was portrayed as Indra. Other cabinet members have been shown as deities and MLAs and MPs of the state as their disciples.

A complaint was also filed by a Congress worker in this regard a month ago but no action was taken.
