Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will launch the party's campaign for the seven-phased Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls on March 25 from Kanpur.
Vajpayee will address a public meeting at the Phool Bagh ground that day, said senior party leader Rakesh Sonkar.
He said BJP vice president Venkaiah Naidu will arrive in Kanpur on March 22, while Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will reach the city on April 5 for the party's campaign.
Sonkar said all BJP candidates will file their nominations on March 20 from 10 Assembly constituencies that go to poll in the first phase on April 7.
