Barring stray incidents of protests and bandhs in villages, life on Monday limped back to normal in 14 troubled districts of Rajasthan as Gujjar leaders agreed to withdraw their stir on the quota issue.
There was no report of any major untoward incident from the state, Home Secretary V S Singh said in Jaipur.
However, special vigil was maintained and paramilitary forces were deployed in the highly sensitive areas of Dausa, Karauli, Bundi, Jaipur-rural, Tonk, Sawaimadhopur and Kota districts.
Rail and road traffic, barring a few km in between Dausa and Mahaua, have resumed, the authorities said.
North-Western Railway has been running special summer trains for the stranded passengers from certain parts of the state.
A partial bandh, observed in Kota district, passed off peacefully, an official said.
The milk supplies which had been stopped for the last three days were expected to be resumed from Tuesday following the withdrawal of the agitation.
