Indian doctor Mohammad Haneef, who was released after the Australian government accepted it did not have enough evidence to detain him under terror charges, has now been given a temporary visa, his wife Firdous Ashriya has said.
Firdous told reporters in Bangalore that she had contacted the Indian Embassy who in turn had provided her with the information.
She also said Haneef had conveyed that he was relieved and was very eager to see his new-born daughter in Bangalore.
