The Haryana government on Wednesday issued instructions that Dera Sacha Sauda followers would neither be allowed to use any public place nor loudspeakers during their proposed prayer meeting on Thursday at Ratia in Fatehabad district.
"In case anyone wants to do nam charcha (prayers) it should be at one's home," Chief Secretary Prem Prashant told reporters.
He said the decision has been taken to maintain peace in the area in wake of the Dera stand-off with Sikhs following the recent blasphemous act of Dera head Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh.
He said the situation is quite normal after a proposed Sikh rally, scheduled for Wednesday, was deferred by the Akal Takht Jathedar.
Prashant, however, made it clear that no instructions have been issued to prevent people from visiting the gurudwara in Ratia.
