Madras High Court on Monday upheld the Tamil Nadu government's order directing unaided colleges to admit students under management quota through counselling.
Justice V Dhanapalan also upheld the Government Order dated May 25, 2007, that 65 per cent of sanctioned seats should be surrendered by non-minority institutions and 50 per cent of seats by minority institutions.
A petition challenging the GO was filed by the Consortium of Unaided Self-Financing Art and Science and Professional Colleges.
