The wife of Rajesh Manjhi, Rashtriya Janata Dal member of Parliament from Gaya, has accused him of extra-marital relations, and has sought an inquiry into it by Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee.

Premila Devi, a resident of Saishtabad village of Jehanabad district, has accused her husband Manjhi of neglecting her and having extra-marital relations.

In her letter to Chatterjee, she has demanded an inquiry into the matter. "My husband Manjhi is having extra marital affair with another woman, and he has left me and my children in lurch."

Devi, is a angarwadi worker in her village.

She said that Manjhi changed after he was elected MP in 2004 and started living with another woman Rani.

However, Manjhi told rediff.com over telephone that his wife's charges against him were baseless, and a part of a conspiracy to damage his political career .

However, Devi said she would meet RJD supremo and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in this regard.

"I will stage a dharna to expose my husband Manjhi of extra marital relations that made my life hell," she said.
