The Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act Court on Monday extended till February 17 the judicial custody of nine persons accused of orchestrating blasts in Maharashtra's textile town Malegaon.
The nine are accused of carrying out four serial blasts in Malegaon on September 8, 2006, in which 31 people were killed and 312 injured.
The ATS in the chargesheet had alleged that all the accused were members of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India and had carried out the blasts to create communal tensions in the town and the state.
