A Central Reserve Police Force jawan, deployed for anti-Naxal operation, on Thursday committed suicide in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh, the police said.
The jawan committed suicide by firing his SLR weapon near his neck in their camp near Mandir Hasoud town, about 30 km from Raipur, police sources told PTI in Raipur.
The jawan is from Hissar district of Haryana and was deployed along with his battalion for anti-Naxal operation in the state, the sources said.
When contacted, Raipur Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar said, "Primary investigations revealed family trouble could be the reason of his commiting suicide."
