A self-styled area commander of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba has been arrested in Udhampur district, official sources said on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a hideout in Dudu Basantgarh area of Udhampur district on Sunday night and arrested top Pakistani militant Abu Bakar, the sources said.
He tried to flee from the place where he had called a meeting of militants, but was nabbed by the police.
One AK-47 rifle and four grenades were recovered from him.
More recoveries and arrests are likely after the interrogation of the arrested militant, the sources said.
