India and the United States on Friday simultaneously released the text of the 123 Agreement in New Delhi and Washington.
Both sides had not made public the contents of the document when it was finalised.
United States Ambassador to India David Mulford told Indian journalists in an audio conference that while the American side had no problems in going public, the Indian side wanted to table the text of the agreement in Parliament before going public.
Ostensibly to avoid media scrutiny, the Indian government released the document in the official website of the Ministry of External Affairs.
We give here the full text of the document.
